This month’s Lvl Up! session equips your child with one of the most powerful tools for mental, emotional, and academic growth: Speed Journalling.

This isn’t “dear diary.” It’s a fast, focused journalling technique that helps preteens think clearly, plan ahead, and act with confidence — on their own.

Your child will learn the exact method I used to reflect on and recover from negative experiences, set weekly goals, and build a path way to overcome bigger challenges 1 step at a time.

Filmed at a café on an ordinary day when I felt completely stuck. After five minutes of Speed Journalling, I instantly gained clarity, mapped my day, and got back into flow.

The process of coming up with weekly goals involves a thoughtful and focused 30-minute session dedicated to planning your calendar effectively! This brief yet impactful time allows you to set clear intentions and organize your tasks for the week ahead.

The reason behind it all

At 17, I felt completely stuck. I couldn’t talk to anyone, and every piece of advice — ‘try harder,’ ‘everyone struggles,’ ‘just study hard’* — felt useless. I grew frustrated and lost trust in adults.

No matter how hard I tried — from studying to doing more — I’d always get stuck. Nothing moved forward.

At 19, everything changed. I was made aware of self-help books, strategies, and systems — not just advice. Authors like Tim Ferriss and *The Magic of Thinking Big* helped me overcome my stutter, shyness, and lack of focus. Reading became faster and pleasurable, my anxieties disappeared, and I could socialise so much I scared even myself — after just one week. I became brave enough to try new things and mapped out a path without waiting on my adults, whilst also learning how to find right mentors who could guide me to the right direction.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve refined those strategies with psychology, NLP, and the science of emotions to create the program I wish I’d had as when I was struggling as a teenager. When I reflected on what makes or breaks a child, I realised it’s the tools they’re given. The more tools they collect, the easier their journey into adulthood becomes. That belief has become the heartbeat of EC Academy — to equip every child with tools for life.
