They say in any downtime, all that is needed is verbal clarity.
So I sought verbal clarity…
…from family and friends.
Verbal clarity can indeed be a crushing force
which can be for a good course.
A few days later, it came…
…far from any kind of mental disorders, the root cause of most ‘issues’ or downtime, safe to say, is the lack of verbal description of a particular driving force, in this case, the driving force known as identity. And since driving forces give instructions or at least, some form of direction, without it, the absence of identity can be the root cause of an entire setback, and can potentially cause the cannibalization of ones life.
Yes, I was eating myself alive
designing a Name card without identity.
The name card needs to represent the driving force for, and so, identity can surface.
Identity Crisis? Maybe. To remedy, begin with pen and paper.
When cluelessness arises, serendipitous forces motion.
The Cover on the Tim Ferris’s Best Seller, The Four-hour work week on, has a tittle, a tagline and sub taglines, on top of summary and other promotional content.
On what to put on a Name Card , the minimum requirement is:
Title:
The 4-hour-work Week.
Tagline:
“Escape the 9-5 life, Live anywhere, and Join the New Rich”
The Window into his entire book and blog, in just 16 words.
How amazing was that.
LessonsInChildhood needed such a… magnifying window.
The search began, so to speak. To magnify ‘identity’ within a name card, it first needs some verbal clarity identity.
Tens of hours later and there was light. The initial enthusiasm had me going a little overboard with it, but here is it non-the-less!
How to Refine Identity into a Single Name Card.
From reading countless tutorials, i summarized with this:
Steps:
1) Mind map, re-evaluate what matters, refine it with feedback and then compress in point forms. If uncertain, books + videos.
2) Refine, refine and refine! And squeeze a few of them into a single word. You would have a few words.
3) Jumble words together into a single title.
Dinner is served.
I boiled down to 2 points, after which my cousin prompted ‘you need a tagline!’, 3 more came to place. As a result…

Wisdom has close correlations with belief systems of what is ‘right and wrong’. The term is very tricky as it is very subjective as it is very sensitive, as it is at the same time, very empowering. To search for an appropriate definition of Wisdom, i looked at Maria Popova’s take on it, which fits perfectly into what LessonsInChildhood hopes to achieve.

Squint your eyes and paint over any mistakes.
Mistakes, to other souls, angers, shames and especially, stifles,

To many of us however, mIstkse are enlightaning, enrichng, esy to brush off. So i brushed off mine. And ordered another batch . Done!
Perhaps the most important area in refining identity is to distil what matters to what doesn’t to our time on earth. To do that, I cannot recommend The Four Hour Work Week more as one of the go-to books to do just that.
